General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As per my clinical experience, your son is most likely having balanitis.

Primary guidelines to cure at earliest:
- Regular foreskin retraction, cleaning of smegma beneath with antiseptic liquid.
- Local application of Polymycin cream works excellent.
- Make him wear loose, clean, cotton inner wares.
- Plenty of liquids orally.
- According to the age, weight criteria give tablet or syrup Aleve for pain relief.
- Get prescription of antibiotic (such as Cefadroxil or else) from his GP.
- OTC basis antihistamine as Cetirizine or else for itching control.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
